Centripetal Light And Dark
Free composition with artificial lights and LED patterns in dark studio
Technique: Long exposure combined with movements in the focal plane
Religious traditions that have crossed borders producing over time, indigenous versions that summon the faithful around a temple, uniting, or so they try, faith and hope linked to the sempiternal and guilty forgiveness, are a vivid example of human expression and its communitarian sense.
With this photograph I explore the traditional manifestation of a group of beings "Diablos de Naiguata, Venezuela" who are not accepted in the Catholic church, however, are received by the pastor outside the temple and forgiven, showing compassion and mercy from the clergy.
And this is how the now "blessed devils" dance bringing prosperity, peace and good rains for the people' crops.
